Asparagus & Strawberries
From May 13, 2013 the Strauss Restaurant at the Polonia Palace Hotel is offering a fantastic menu, based on Polish summer favourites, asparagus and strawberries. With such starters as creamed asparagus soup, and white and green asparagus with Hollandaise sauce, Parma ham and Parmigiano Reggiano cheese flakes, the menu teases and tantalizes you with fresh seasonal flavours. A real main dish specialty is green asparagus risotto with saffron and shrimps – a perfect blend of delicate and robust tastes. And don’t forget the sweetness of dessert – try a strawberry tart with vanilla sauce with a cup of iced coffee: a perfect and refreshing end to your meal!

Strauss Restaurant
You are invited to Strauss Restaurant, where relaxing in style meets delicious food and friendly service. Settle into your comfortable chair and select from our inspired combination of European and Polish cuisine.
Welcome to the Strauss Restaurant! We look forward to serving you some of Warsaw’s best Polish and European cuisine, and Chef Grzegorz Goleń is pleased to offer his personal recommendations.
The menu includes such traditional Polish soups as żurek to stir and whet your palate, before leading you into some guest favourites: hearty main courses of succulent duck, fresh fish or perfect steak fillet.
Discerning diners prefer a menu changes depending on season, and as such, Chef Goleń creates unique and delicious dishes using seasonal fish, poultry, fruit and vegetables (strawberries in the summer are especially popular), sauces and spices.
And don't forget the sweetest of temptations as the perfect way to end the meal. Many of our diners enjoy our homemade classic Italian dessert Tirami su or warm apple strudel with vanilla ice cream - both are best enjoyed with a dessert wine or piping hot coffee.
Fridays offer something unusual, in the form of a Polish Buffet offering mouthwatering traditional soups, fish, meats and sauces. We have heard that this is a real guest favourite, so you are invited to come and taste some true Polish cuisine!
With a very fine wine list and warmly attentive staff eager to make your dining experience a most pleasant one, Strauss Restaurant is ideal for business lunches, casual in-between-shopping meetings with friends, people-watching over coffee, or a romantic dinner with that 'someone special'…
And if you only have time for one meal with us at Strauss Restaurant, make sure that it is breakfast: hands-down the most often-repeated comment we receive from our guest is that the breakfast buffet is huge, varied, delicious and beautifully-presented. People also love that they are served individual white china pots of breakfast tea or steaming coffee, and tell us that our breakfast buffet is the perfect way to start a day of business, or sightseeing pleasure.

Bojangles Bar
Find a cool hot spot in Warsaw, at the Polonia Palace Hotel’s own Bojangles Bar. With swing and jazz piping over the system, and live music in the evenings, guests can relax to the smooth sounds of Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davies Jr. and Ella Fitzgerald – all whilst enjoying the spectacular view of the Palace of Culture, just across the street.
All the usual suspects in terms of bar food are in place – nachos and salsa, hamburgers and club sandwiches – but the menu also offers some surprising dishes, which is much-appreciated by our customers. Journey around the World with chili con carne, crispy spring rolls, Vitello Tonato and classic freshly chopped tartare of seasonal Polish beef all ensure that you and your fellow sports-lovers can enjoy a very decent meal over your drinks.
The drinks themselves are varied and unusual. Bartenders are happy to whip up a ‘Bojangles’ Team Cocktail’ (such as a ‘Passion’ by Krzysztof I made up of rum, passoa, malibu, pinapple, or a ‘Touch Me’ by Justyna, with vodka, Baileys, cassis liquor and juice) or to pour an elegant glass of Nicolas Feuillatte Champagne.
With a nice selection of wines, cocktails, long drinks, beers, whiskeys and other spirits, the bar is certain to serve up your poison – and with friendly staff who enjoy chatting and remember their regulars - Bojangles Bar is truly a place where everyone knows your name.

Cooking Academy
Maybe you are eager to improve your cooking skills, or maybe you are curious about a new type of cuisine or how to use a certain spice. Maybe you want a 'girls' night out' to giggle and catch up with friends, or maybe you want to do something different for your birthday. Maybe you are searching for a fun and original gift for a foodie friend, or maybe you just want to treat yourself.
Well, look no farther: the Polonia Palace Hotel and Chef Grzegorz Goleń have answered your call for a culinary education, and are happy to invite you to our Cooking Academy Courses. Groups start from 10 people, and the theme may be arranged at your request: if you have a particular type of cuisine you’d like to learn about, this will be easily accommodated. Past lessons have included Italian-type cuisine, and a sushi course. And since each lesson lasts at least two hours, there is ample time to explore, experiment and enjoy the food you are preparing.
Class times are arranged at the attendees’ convenience; the cost per person is 305 PLN (including VAT). This includes the class with our chef, your food served to you to sample and enjoy, along with some house wine and soft drinks (if you wish to partake of other wines, you are offered a 20% discount on them). You will also get the recipes of your dishes, a Polonia Palace Hotel Cooking Academy Certificate and apron with the Cooking Academy logo to take away with you.
If you have any questions, or if you wish to arrange a cooking class, please contact us at: poloniapalace@syrena.com.pl or call +48 22 31 82 834.
Cocktail Academy
Yearning to learn to mix the perfect drink? Do you have no idea how to make a B52? Well, sign up for a lesson at the Polonia Palace Hotel Cocktail Academy, and you’ll certainly be a bartender extraordinaire at your next party!
Groups number from 10 to 40 participants, and they receive instruction from the hotel’s own Bojangles bartending staff on how to prepare eight cocktails: Mojito, Margarita, Kamikazee, Mai Tai, Pina Colada, Singapore Sling, Caipirinha and B-52. The course costs 199 PLN in total, and besides the lesson itself and the alcohol, this fee also covers the very wide snack menu offered to all participants at the Academy.
Cold snacks include mini caprese, mini salmon tartare, shrimp cocktails, chicken shashlik, Mediterranean salad with cucumber and dill, and Russian salad. Hot dishes on offer include a fajita station, curry chicken, Mexican-style beef, Julienne vegetables, chili shrimp, guacamole, and a selection of dips (garlic, cheese and chili). Desserts to savour include mini fruit tartlets, mini cookies and fresh fruit. And once you have had enough alcohol, enjoy some complementary sparkling water, fresh fruit juice, fresh-brewed coffee or a selection of teas.
At the end of the course, every attendee will receive all the drinks recipes to take home, and a certificate of completion to hang in place of pride (might we suggest above the drinks cabinet?).
If you wish to get more information, or you would like to either take part in a course or organise your own evening with friends, then do make contact at: poloniapalace@syrena.com.pl or call +48 22 31 82 834.
